Firstly, if you see someone collapse or fall

unconscious, the first thing you should do is call for help. Dial the emergency services number in your country, such as 911 in the United States or 999 in the United Kingdom. Give the operator your location and describe the situation as clearly and calmly as possible.

Secondly, check if the person is breathing. If they are not breathing, you need to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). To do this, place the person on their back and kneel beside them. Put the heel of one hand in the center of their chest and place your other hand on top.

Press down firmly and quickly, at a rate of about 100 compressions per minute. After 30 compressions, tilt the person's head back and lift their chin to open their airway. Pinch their nose shut and give two breaths into their mouth. Repeat this cycle of 30 compressions and two breaths until help arrives.

Thirdly, if the person is bleeding heavily, apply pressure to the wound with a clean cloth or bandage. Elevate the affected limb if possible to help reduce blood flow. If the bleeding does not stop, continue to apply pressure and seek medical attention.

Lastly, if someone is choking, ask them if they can speak or cough. If they cannot, stand behind them and wrap your arms around their waist. Make a fist with one hand and place it just above their navel. Grasp your fist with your other hand and pull sharply upward and inward. Repeat this until the object is dislodged or until the person becomes unconscious.
